complaints clients make about real estate agents and the relevant justification from an agent’s perspective
No one likes to deal with difficult real estate clients. But the truth is, buying and selling real estate is swarming with emotions. So what happens when your real estate client has a complaint to get off their chest? Are you prepared to deal with it?
The most common complaints real estate clients make are such as ‘you aren’t delivering what you promised.’, ‘you are never available’, ‘you don’t listen’ and it goes on and on.
A few reasons for clients to make complaints such as the agent is not delivering what they promised are as follows,
· You’re not showing homes that include my must-haves or wants.
· You’re not finding homes in my budget or desired neighborhood.
· You aren’t selling my property as quickly as you said you would.
· I don’t agree with your proposed listing price.
· You aren’t available when I want to talk with you.
Solution
While some agents over-promise, market conditions can also make it impossible to deliver. In other cases, some client’s expectations are too high. Regardless, you must still provide outstanding customer service. That means managing their expectations and sometimes telling them what they don’t want to hear.
And here are few other things real estate agents wish their clients knew-
1. Once you’ve started working with an agent, don’t contact any other real estate agents.
2. Trust your real estate agent’s expertise, you need their knowledge and skills.
3. Communicate with your agent, that way, the realtor will be able to find homes that fit what you want and need easier.
4. Make the home easy to show. make sure your house is clean (and stays clean) so the realtor can show it to potential buyers.
5. Treat your realtor with respect. You have hired them to help you buy or sell a home, however this isn’t just their job, it’s their life too. Remember to keep in contact with them.
